Tell us about yourself in 140 characters.
Name’s "Kat." Partner Mgr. by day, bookworm/nature lover by night. Find me running outside or reading abt snails, mammals or the Everglades.
How did you end up in your line of work?
My desire to find a work environment where I could be challenged with a dynamic and heavy workload (mentally and/or physically) has always been undeniable. After finishing my B.A., I decided to pursue a certification in Human Resource Management and I entered the work force. Knowing about my preferences for a professional environment, a friend recommended I inquire about a Customer Success position with 71lbs, a local growing software start up.
3.5 years later and the rest is history!
What’s the coolest thing about your job?
My voice is heard. 71lbs provides a culture that appreciates my contributions and embraces my individuality.
Tell us the most surprising thing you’ve learned about shipping.
I've learned that no matter how high the price tag or how much you spend on shipping, good service is not guaranteed.
Let’s switch gears. You’re on a desert island; what three things would you have with you and why?
1. My cat. She's the best company.
2. Water. Generally speaking, I am an overhydrator. (Is that a word?)
3. Goggles. There's a world beyond the blue.
Pick a superpower, any superpower.
I would take a pair of gills anyday.
Last question: Last question: If you share one life lesson that has translated into the work you do to your peers, what would it be?
Be patient and listen closely.
